Well, i uploaded 3 new videos since the last one:

Lvl 30 techs demonstration, this one was a request from Cranberry and thanks to the help of Gunbladed then the video was done.

Central dome fire swirl, this one has the best moments, this quest is actually fun, to bad the video is so long but it's the best i can do.

Official dreamcast PSO trailler, this is not true HD but looks quite nice, i must say i like the camera movements and the fact we can see how PSO was like when it was being promoted.

 

The communities i have come across:

 

Ragol.co.uk - amazing community when i joined, i loved it and i still do, the population is alot lower then before but we try to do our best in it, i do recomend it, good moderation and the coolest admin i ever saw.

 

PSO-world.com - i don't know much about this place, i just use it to clear some doubts to old PSO player and to discuss PSO stuff, i say it's average, the moderation seems okay but it could have been better, either way it's an excelent place to hang around.

 

Azure PSO - this place can be used to discuss anything that comes to your mind, even things that aren't alowed in other forums like "PSO drama", the forum is quite small as a guest, but when you become a member then you see that there is alot more to explore.

Community is unbalanced but good for discussing any subject, some staff members of schthack server even come to clear situations, to give opinions or to know what is happening in the forum they administrate. I recomend this if you like to know more about PSO and the ppl that play it, it's a complement and not exactly the place to begin when we talk about PSO

 

Schthack - by far the worst community, has a great population so my advice is to use the server and use the forum for what's strictly necessary (trades, updates,...), the more you use the forum the faster you will become aware of why i say it's the worst community, i mean, the members can be great, average and bad, most of the bad members are tied with the moderation, so the less contact with the moderation the less chance you have of beeing deceptioned, however some ppl of the moderation are great to talk with.

One of the flaws is that each person of the staff thinks for himself, so from time to time you will see one mod organizing the forum and the other undo what the other did, they don't know what to do because they don't discuss it before, only after. Even when a new admin is assigned the others never know why or when it happened.

Another flaw is that the moderation is motivated by hate and greed, rules are a farse, if you get problems with one mod then expect the worst.

The final flaw is suport, i think this one is one of the worst, they suport members differently, depending on the mood, the subject or the version you play, then you will have a different kind of help.

Dreamcast suport for example is incomplete and tricky, some ppl prefer making publicity to products that aren't what ppl need then to show all the possibilities and let the person decide what to do, if you see they complain that the population is low then just ignore because it's they're own fault.

So if you play dreamcast pso, if you think they do alot to atract ppl to the game then think again, they do exactly the oposite and that's why ppl move to DC-TALK

 

DC-Talk - This community is great, with a good and fair moderation wich i personaly like, they hold a server that all players enjoy and in the end even if organizing a game is the indication of a low population then do not worry, most players here are legit, quests remain the same and there are ppl that actually like to help out.

Suport is Excelent, i can't say it better, the connection guide to the server is the most complete i have seen, with links to software and showing the several ways you can connect, even if there are problems then the forum members help out.

Since it's a dreamcast orientated forum then you will many things concerning with downloads and tools for that console, games, modified games, fixed games, it's great.

If you are a DC fan then i will recomend this for sure, this site is also recomended by http://top100.sega-dc.de/.

Well, apart from the usual rares and gameplay there are 2 things that PSO players should know.

 

1st is that i have compiled a cheaters list that includes the ppl that hack at scthack, it's really usefull since when they enter you can say for them to turn 180º and leave.

The list is constantly beeing updated and even other plyers are giving a contribution.

However, no matter how big the list is, remember that making a full team of legits is possible, but that is also rare.

2nd, Congrats to Valkirie! as he is the 2nd fully legit lvl 200 player that plays on schthack, he reached the final level not long ago and that's a fine achievement, all the other lvl 200 around are hacked and mostly indicate that the player is a noob.

 

3rd, thanks to 2 sucessfull trades i have upgraded my gear again, a red handgun with 50% a.beast will replace my old one with 40%, i won't be killing faster but it helps, another piece of equipement is a sense plate with 4 slots, it has better stats then my old one and 1 more slot, with this i now equiped the unit state maintenance.

Now my HUmar can see traps and heal all status effects, it's quite nice considering a humar is a human char, this makes the tech anti only usefull in teamplay.

Well, my dreamcast still had problems, so i switched to the new one, reseted the memory and made my humar work on it.

 

I now have a PAL pso ver.2 and i can finnaly go online, not only that but i can access more then one server, schthack has a nice population but let's face it, most of the ver.2 players suck and the ones you think are legit aren't in reality, but sometimes luck can apear, recently made a trade with a schthack player and got a red handgun with 55% native, that's like the best red handgun for forest, to complement that i also found a 55% a.beast imperial pick, you don't even want to know the damage on the 2nd boss.

Strangely i also tried to play on chankast emulator using the pal disk and my save didn't work, however, my humar char save was enable, this was wonderfull, it's a really old save, so old i'm not even lvl 200, i did take some snaphots and i already did 2 areas in ultimate to take pics, maybe later i will upload them.

 

I got recenty banned from schthack forums, don't ask me for a reason, not even the mods can actually give an awser on that, they simply banned me, this is just one of the many situations in why schthack moderation fails, yet, they don't like it when we complain somewhere else, well, i have that right, after all gaining a ban wich was equivalent to 7 warnings wasn't fair, especially when the mod itself couldn't explain to the other mods why was i banned, can someone say "fail"?

 

I got promoted to GM status on dreamcast talk servers, it may not seem, but the connection faq and the community is FAR better then schthack and for once i can play quests and join public games without even worrying about hacks such as resist mods or modified quest items.

 

 

In anycase, happy 2009, i will be online casually at dreamcast talk and schthack servers to play the game.

 

 

Well, i got a new dc, changed the broken power converter and took the opotunity to change many thing including the controller ports and the GD-ROM unit.

The DC still hasa random reset wich quite honestly i do not understand how to fix it, i have had many problems with my dc but this one i can't fix it, not even by replacing 3/4 of the dreamcast hardware lol.

 

Anyway, PSO Ver.2 is going great, i'm starting the game star lancer again and soul calibur is once again a game i enjoy playing.

 

Dreamcast never dies.

 

To complement this i even made 1 new video, showing me killing some Vhard forest monsters using hell and megid with my humar :P

 

 

 

 

1st the bad news, somehow i grabbed what i suposed to be a big % BRIONAC, after deposit the mag in the bank i saw the weapon had 0 %, so i basicly lost my 0/30/30/10 one.

there are many good news, 1st is the BRIGHTNESS CIRCLE, 1/37.000 drop from a ultimate ob lily, i was suprised when i saw the armor, i also found a 40/0/25/0/25 CUSTOM RAY VER.00, wich will replace my old one.

 

during my time i did some movies, me doing vhard and ultimate areas/bosses.

Found a few INVISIBLE GUARD, did vhard and ultimate (forest) mode, no luck in finding good rares.
did yesterday hard mode and found a delsaber's right arm, went to vhard to convert it to a DELSABER'S BUSTER, my first usefull enemy part

as for the last 3 zones in ultimate found a RED DAGGER in caves a SUBMIT MOON in mines and 3 IMPERIAL PICK in ruins, 2 of them had very good %, but i will not replace my current ones, also a LAST SURVIVOR wich i need to check with the one in the bank.

did hard mode and vhard mode, found a good % H&S25 JUSTICE and a 30% native DRAGON SLAYER, found some grinders to my new IMPERIAL PICK
made also a double save incase i lose my char to a stupid dreamcast shutdown

did ultimate forest and caves (no problems witht the dreamcast, but i am still caucious), found a RED SABER and a RED HANDGUN in forest, found a RED DAGGER in caves, a nice hunt if i may say, i didn't found the dagger for a long time.
Also grinded to +9 the DRAGON SLAYER i found the other day.......going well

Ultimate forest,caves and mines, found a SUBMIIT MOON and a RED HANDGUN, both with crap %, but i can play PSO Ver.2 again
I still need a run in vhard or so so that my skill return to wht it should be.
AND my dreamcast has a new problem, seems to be a poor connection somewhere in the console, sometimes when it reads the game, the television stops showing the game and i need to restart the console, the strange fact is that the console is on all the time, but something fails inside, gave it a few slaps and it seems that the problem is over for now.

ok, did ultimate ruins, found a 35% machine IMPERIAL PICK, teked it to 45%, it has a litle more atack power then my RED SWORD 25%, but not by much, but the ata will make for sure a big diference.

Also no 2nd controler for now, so no pics to show........hope i can find a new controler.

well, after all the replaced resistors, i found one only 0.02 ohms different, after pluging the first controller everything was fine, but the 2nd controler made the fan run slower and the resistor almost melted, i found it strange so i pluged the controller, and besides the memory card not responding it imidiatly made the same stuff again, so the problem is the controller......now i need to find a new one that works perfectly.

did ultimate forest just to see if the resistor was damaged, no damage, found a VICTOR AXE, bad %

today did the remaining zones, found only a nice % BRIONAC at the ruins

Did last week piping in search of the pouilly slime, no luck, same this weekend.

Did vhard, at ruins my controlers stop working meaning that after many years the resistor inside dreamcast blowed up, i need to replace for a new one but before that i replaced with a paper clip, altought it works, 2 or more controlers make the dreamcast fan,laser and graphic apresentation fails, so no pics to add to my gallery.

Found a DRAGON SLAYER and a DOUBLE SABER

Well to day was a run in caves, mines and ruins, on caves i wanted a durandal, it is rarer then a red saber on ultimate so it might take some weeks if not months to obtain this colectors item.

on mines found a DOUBLE SABER, but i wanted more a s-beats arm or the proto regen gear......unfortunatly even with very good drop rates i did not found the items.

on ruins found an agito 1977......i wanted more a delsabers right arm......oh well, the run was so boring that i decided to do next week vhard mode and ultimate in the next week after that.

Did now a simple run at the hard forest, obtained a DRAGON SLAYER no %

well, i only found a SENSE PLATE 0 slots at the mines 1, an IMPERIAL PICK and a INVISIBLE BARRIER at the ruins.
Also at the ruins lvled up to 200.......yes......my humar has now the top lvl, 200 legit levels

Today was a very crappy run, only a DOUBLE SABER in the mines.
Feeded my bana some star atomizers since i made a double save to my nexus
i need less then 200.000 exp to lvl up, sunday will be a BIG day

Did Ultimate today, found 2 REVIVAL GARMENTS, one at the 2nd boss and another at mines 1 box, 3 SUMMIT MOON at the mines, 2 INVISIBLE BARRIER at the ruins and a IMPERIAL PICK (bad %) also in the ruins.

I have also now 96 million exp

Found a 20% machine DRAGON SLAYER (replaced by the old one at the bank), an AGITO 1991 at caves 2 box, another AGITO 2001 droped by a sinow beat , since it had better % i swiched the one in the bank for this new one, also a PARASITIC WEAR: DE ROL 0 slots, a SACRED GUARD and a INVISIBLE GUARD at the ruins
before doing ruins i had to fix my 2nd dreamcast controler, cuted the wire and saw a small blue wire damaged, some twisting and tape and the controler is functioning perfectly, so i only toke pics at the ruins.

Did ultimate mode, all zones.
Found a SILENCE CLAW in forest 1, a FLAME VISTIT in caves 2, a SUMMIT MOON in mines 2, 2 INVISIBLE BARIERS in ruins.....and some common god units.
